Rare crafting materials are crafting materials that are found infrequently in the game. Depending on the profession and type of item being crafted, most players will need these rare materials especially to craft armor. Rare crafting materials can be salvaged from monster drops using an Expert Salvage Kit or a Superior Salvage Kit. These kits will salvage rare materials at a clip of roughly 20-25%, the rest of the time they will produce common crafting materials.
In addition to salvaging them from salvage items, Artisans can craft rare materials out of common ones. They can also be purchased from a Rare Material Trader in a city.
See the rare crafting materials category for a list of rare crafting materials.
