- Upon using this skill, the target animal will immediately become hostile during the skill activation time. If you have high level henchmen with you, they are likely to kill it before you can finish charming the animal.
- This skill doesn't benefit from higher Beast Mastery, making this skill essentially "unlinked". Presumably ANet decided to file it under the Beast Mastery attribute line because it is required for most Beastmastery skills.
- For more information on pets, please see Animal companion.
- PvP-only characters who equip Charm Animal will always get an Elder Wolf as their pet when entering combat.
- The only animals you can charm which are automatically hostile are the Wolf in pre-searing and the Elder Crabs in Boreas Seabed.
