| ==Basics==

| Focus items are [[weapon|secondary weapons]] (sometimes called the "off hand") that increases the equipped [[character]]'s maximum [[energy]], between 3 and 12. They may also have other [[Weapon upgrade#Modifiers|modifiers]]. Like all weapons, middle to high end focus items have minimum requirements from 0 to 13 in certain [[attributes]] for the primary stat (energy). If the character's rank in the required attribute is even one less than the requirement, a lower value is used for the respective stat. This value is 3 energy for white or blue focus items and 6 energy for purple or gold ones. There are also variable attribute Foci in [[Factions]], which can be tied to the [[primary attribute]] from any [[caster]] profession.
